What if we told you your voice counts, even in this political atmosphere. Would you speak out? If you knew 24 million people could lose their health insurance if the ACA was repealed and replaced by the American Health Care Act (AHCA), would you place a call to save healthcare access for people living with HIV? We need you to make three calls, to take 30 minutes to be a hero in the fight against HIV/AIDS. POCAAN is not a sponsor of this event, but we are sending out this request because its that’s important, and we want to support our colleagues. There is too much work for any one agency; it’s important to support your colleagues doing good work. The HIV Health Care Access Working Group, AIDS Foundation of Chicago, AIDS United, NASTAD, HIVMA, The AIDS Institute, and TAEP are organizing an HIV community-wide call in day on March 21st to urge Congress to oppose the Republican’s repeal plan (AHCA).
